The old-child-young-man
He deserved to be a child,
To have a home,
To live,
Feel support,
Become human
At twenty-one
Keeping my feelings,
My distress to myself,
Not to burden his
Oh so tired soul.
Trying to stay firm
In the current of his life
To be there for this child,
If only to make sure
He's mentally fine.
Or for him to realize
He will be eventually.
To him I am no longer
More than a name.
Perhaps a memory.

Was the memory of me.
I swore….
I wonder if I succeeded.
